A whole generation of young people has done everything right. They studied, trained, worked hard and played by the rules – only to find the rules have changed. The entry-level ladder is collapsing beneath their feet.
Slowing economic growth, post-pandemic resets and the experience paradox are converging to create a perfect storm, leaving millions of young people struggling to find their footing in the workforce. And for those who have long faced barriers to opportunity, the ground is even shakier. Add AI’s transformation of the nature, future and even guarantee of work, and the path young people have counted on seems more uncertain than ever.
This isn’t just an economic issue – it’s a generational emergency – one that demands new pathways for opportunity, purpose and work. Young people everywhere can’t wait for the future of work to come to them. They need to build it themselves- and they need champions to share the tools, network and support them in creating meaningful jobs for themselves and others.
This session kicks off an inter-generational, cross-sector initiative, IncuVersity – from AI labs to manufacturing, finance, mobility, healthcare and beyond – uniting partners whose businesses are all evolving with AI and who share a belief that entrepreneurship is the most direct route to inclusive growth.
